Going Plastic Free

To minimize the need for single-use plastic, there is an on-site Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant which produces potable water for guests and team members. The use of reusable glass water bottles in villas, bars, and restaurants instead of plastic water bottles will help reduce consumption of plastics. Also as part of the fight against single-use plastics, there is use of paper trays and straws.

Coconut Trees

Landscaping and Trees

In cultivated areas, many woody and non-woody plants grow wild. Some of these plants are cut down, to assist with the cultivated areas. These provide a variety of resource materials for the day to day operations. Tree planting is another  way that helps maintain the luscious vegetation of the island.

Desalination

All drinking water is created using reverse osmosis, otherwise known as desalinization by collecting water from the island’s water table using a deep water bore. It’s less salty than seawater, therefore requiring less power to desalinate. The water is re-mineralized and decanted into glass water bottles, eliminating the need for plastic bottles.
